Summary
To assist the Therapy Manager in providing leadership, guidance, supervision and professional development for all therapy staff and students in the Therapy Department. Highly specialised, experienced practitioner employed to take a lead role in planning, co-ordinating and delivering Therapy intervention in the specialist area. To be responsible for the effective provision and development of the clinical service within the speciality at the GEH. To work in close liaison with the MDT and community partners and to provide specialist training and support. To provide highly specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and advice in lifestyle management and adaptations to patients and their families/ carers. To provide advice and support to junior Therapy colleagues and the multi-disciplinary team, with regard to Occupational Therapy intervention. To contribute to the service development, service provision and coordination of Therapy services, related to the specialist area. To contribute to the running and development of the service through the promotion, adaptation and development of policies, procedures and guidelines using evidence-based practice.
