Summary

Little Legends Day Nursery is opening its doors this September, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and passionate Deputy Manager to help us build something truly special. This is a rare opportunity to join a brand‑new setting from day one — shaping the culture, supporting the team, and helping create a warm, inspiring environment where children can thrive.

If you’re someone who loves early years, leads with kindness, and wants to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing

-Supporting the Nursery Manager in the smooth running of the nursery and stepping up confidently in their absence

-Leading and inspiring the staff team to deliver exceptional care and education

-Ensuring the EYFS is embedded through high‑quality planning, observations and assessments

-Championing safeguarding and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for all children

-Building strong, trusting relationships with families and being a reassuring point of contact

-Supporting staff development through mentoring, coaching and positive leadership

-Managing daily routines, ratios and room organisation to keep the nursery running smoothly

-Creating a warm, inclusive and joyful atmosphere where children feel valued and confident

What We’re Looking For

-Level 3 Early Years Qualification

-Experience in a senior, room leader or deputy role

-Strong knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements

-A positive, supportive leadership style

-Excellent communication and organisational skills

-A genuine passion for early years and child development

-Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Why Join Little Legends?

-Be part of a brand‑new nursery with the chance to shape its future

-A warm, friendly and supportive leadership team

-Real opportunities for career progression and professional development

-A beautiful setting next to Colwich School with strong community links

-Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications

-A workplace where your ideas, creativity and passion are truly valued

-This isn’t just another job — it’s a chance to help build a setting that children, families and staff will love.
