We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic SEN Middle School Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive team in Bridgwater. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils aged 9–13 who have a range of special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and contribute to EHCP reviews.
• Foster positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing through consistent and supportive approaches.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
• Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress effectively.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Has experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (preferred but not essential).
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Is patient, resilient, and committed to providing outstanding support for every learner.
• Has a creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning.
• Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
