Summary
This is an exciting time to join the Pathology team in Dorset. We are currently making great progress with our vision to create a first class integrated pathology service for Dorset.
The 'One Dorset Pathology' service encompasses site at Dorset County Hospital, Poole Hospital and The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals which will provide clinicians, patients, and carers with a consistent and high standard of service across the area and maximise efficiency in the use of resources.
Staff will be able to develop to their full potential and substantial investment has been agreed, offering opportunities for service development and state-of-the-art modernisation.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist to join our Biochemistry Section within the friendly Blood Sciences Team at Dorset County Hospital.
The successful applicant will be a state registered BMS.
The hospital is in the county town of Dorchester which is eight miles from the Jurassic coastline and award-winning beach.
The department has IBMS training approval, UKAS ISO15189:2022 accreditation and encourages professional development.
To assist in the organisation of and participate in the work of the Biochemistry Section, in accordance with the departmental policies, protocols and quality standards.
The post holder will be expected to support the service working shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
