Job Description:
This position is responsible for leading and managing the squadron's inspection and evaluation programs to ensure mission readiness and compliance with higher headquarters directives. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in inspections, evaluations, and program management, and will act as a key advisor to the commander on all related matters
Qualifications and Key skills:
• A valid UK category B driving license is required
Qualifications for this position:
- 2 years of Specialized Experience as per the key skills listed below
OR
- Bachelor’s degree: in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position together with one Specialized Experience as per the key skills listed below.
Key Skills:
• Skill and Ability to communicate.
• Knowledge of directives and operating procedures pertaining to air transportation operations.
• Ability in preparing and presenting briefings to supervisors/ managers.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Working knowledge of computers and software to include word processing, database management, and presentations, MS office.
Conditions of employment
1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. This position may also be coded as mission essential.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization’s flexible working policies. Overtime may be required and you may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.
5. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
6. You may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
7. This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
NOTE: You will require a security clearance and a right to work in the UK
