Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service.
We are currently recruiting for a Catering Supervisor to work as a valued member of our dedicated catering team.
Working as part of the catering team at Lea Green, you will undertake general kitchen duties, food preparation, and service for a variety of meals, including those provided for special events. During your shifts, you will be responsible for managing our busy kitchen, ensuring high standards of health and safety, food hygiene, and effective team leadership.
The hours for this role are varied and will include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
You will need to demonstrate solid all-round catering experience and possess strong communication skills. Previous experience working in a food production kitchen is essential, as is the ability to adapt menus and/or prepare individual dishes as needed due to supply issues or to meet individual dietary requirements. A strong focus on presentation and customer service is also important.
To apply, you will need to hold a basic Food Hygiene Certificate and ideally an NVQ Level II in Catering (or equivalent). You should also have relevant catering experience and a sound understanding of health and safety requirements.
