Calderdale’s System and Finance Team are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for 2 individuals to join them to be part of a new Brokerage Team for Care Home placements, working alongside our existing Community Brokerage Team.

These new Care Home Brokerage Officer posts will support the Team Leader in developing and maintaining effective and efficient processes to manage the brokering of care home placements for adults with an assessed care need in Calderdale, in line with statutory and legal requirements and achieving best value.

Officers will work alongside the hospital Provision Planners team to develop and maintain good working relationships and effective communication with social care teams, and other key stakeholders, including care providers and individuals in receipt of care and their families.

The roles will require a compassionate approach to providing guidance and support to individuals and their families with the ability to manage sensitive and difficult conversations.

Applications will be considered from those who can demonstrate their ability to work on their own initiative and effectively as part of a team. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate they have a sound understanding of finance and budgeting and can challenge and negotiate to achieve best value
