Summary
We are currently partnering with a growing and reputable residential childcare provider in London who is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s home supporting young people with complex needs.
This is a key leadership role within an established and expanding organisation, offering the opportunity to take full responsibility for a well-supported service and make a genuine impact on young people’s lives.
The Role:
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and operational management of the children’s home, ensuring the service consistently meets Ofsted standards and delivers high-quality, person-centred care.
You will lead a dedicated staff team, ensuring strong safeguarding practices, effective care planning, and a stable, supportive environment for young people with complex needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full operational management of a children’s residential home
- Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards
- Leading, supervising, and developing the staff team
- Maintaining strong safeguarding practices across the service
- Overseeing care plans, risk assessments, and placement outcomes
- Managing staffing, rotas, and day-to-day operational delivery
- Liaising with external professionals, local authorities, and stakeholders
- Ensuring accurate and compliant documentation and reporting
About You:
The successful candidate will bring proven leadership experience within children’s residential care and a strong understanding of compliance and safeguarding frameworks.
You will have:
- Experience managing a children’s residential home (essential)
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Strong safeguarding and compliance background
- Ability to manage complex care environments effectively
- Must be based in London
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
