Summary
Trainee Welder/Fabricator required for a permanent opportunity with an expanding engineering company based near Woodbridge.
Working from engineering drawings as part of a small, supportive team, the successful candidate will assist with MIG welding and fabrication projects while developing their skills within a growing business.
Duties will include:
• Assisting with a variety of welding and fabrication tasks
• Working with a variety of mild steel materials including box section, flat bar, and angle iron
• Learning and following Health & Safety procedures, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Reading engineering drawings
• Supporting senior fabricators and welders within the workshop
Hours: Monday to Friday with early finish on Fridays.
Applicants must:
• Hold a minimum NVQ Level 2 in Welding & Fabrication (or equivalent qualification)
• Have some practical MIG welding experience through college, apprenticeship, or previous employment
• Be enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to develop a career in welding and fabrication
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Have a good understanding and appreciation of Health & Safety requirements
