Summary

Male Personal Assistant / Support Worker (P/T)
Hours: 2.5 hours per day over 4 days
Days / Hours: Start time can be flexible roughly between 8.30-9.30am. Days flexible – to be discussed at interview
R.O.P: £13.45

Personal Assistant / Support Worker (P/T) required to provide support to a teenage boy with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, he requires 24/7 care for all his daily needs including bathing & toileting. He is immobile and requires the use of a power chair.
He is able to feed himself, but he is unable to prepare food by himself due to his considerable muscle weakness. So will require support with this.
The young boy also has a diagnosis of ASD which presents mainly as difficulty with social communication. Once he knows someone well he is a chatty, happy & sociable boy, so must be prepared to build a repour with him.
Confidentiality is of utmost importance.
He enjoys watching movies, eating out and gaming. The family have a large family dog.
