Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable young people to re-engage with education and reach their full potential?
The Kassia Academy is a small, nurturing provision for up to 60 learners who are unable to access mainstream education due to social, emotional and mental health needs.
As part of Kings Academy Trust, we offer a trauma-informed, therapeutic environment where relationships, pastoral care and personalised support are at the heart of everything we do.
We are seeking a committed and compassionate Learning Mentor to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference—supporting pupils through 1:1 and small group interventions, helping them to overcome barriers to learning, develop resilience and build the confidence and life skills they need for the future.
You will work closely with staff, families and external agencies to deliver targeted interventions, promote attendance and engagement, and support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development. A calm, flexible and nurturing approach is essential, along with a strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusion.
In return, you will be part of a supportive and skilled team, working in a setting where relationships matter and every success—no matter how small—is celebrated.
