Summary
our client, a leading Tier 1 civil engineering and maintenance framework company undertaking work on things such as complex civil engineering schemes, bridges, environmental infrastructure, railway projects and more is seeking to expand their pre-construction team and as such is interested in speaking to experienced Estimators/Senior Estimators that have worked on schemes similar to the above.

Our Scotland business unit is involved in a variety of projects, including small civil works within our Civils Asset Management framework, large-scale rail infrastructure projects, and non-rail civil engineering infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Effective registration, control, and administration of tender documentation
Preparation and management of tenders from receipt of documents through to delivery
Presentation of tenders to senior management at tender review meetings
Liaison with the Supply Chain team in respect of placing supplier/subcontractor enquiries
Technical and commercial appraisal of construction labour, plant, materials, and temporary works
Take-offs from drawings and production of cost-effective tenders from first principles
Effective analysis and pricing of risks
Preparation of tender submission documents
Preparation of estimating reports
Providing assistance to proposals and contract management functions
Requirements:
Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in multi-disciplinary civil engineering sectors such as rail, highways, aviation, and/or utilities and power
First Principles Estimating experience
Civil engineering project experience
Working knowledge of Excel (& Word) and estimating software
