Summary
Bank staff required to support a young lady to live at home.
The client is 29 years old and has a diagnosis of Retts Syndrome, ADHD, Autism, Severe Visual Impairment and has a Severe Learning Disability.
Client can verbally communicate with sounds, expressions, movements and gestures. The client enjoys watching animals, helping with cooking, loves being in the hydro pool, enjoys listening to music, watching VT, discos and being with family and peers.
The client is reliant of those caring for her to anticipate and pre-empt her care needs at all times.
The client requires 2 PA Carers at all times.
The hours required are:
Bank Staff required to cover all shifts which includes, day, evening, weekends and sleeps.
Start: ASAP
Example of shift times:
9 hour sleep – 22:00 – 07:00 followed by 1.75hr wrap around shift
4.5 hour shift – 15:30 – 20:00
6.5 hour shift – 15:30 – 22:00
Weekends
12 hour shift – 08:00 – 20:00
14 hour shift – 08:00 – 22:00
Client requires supporting with all aspects of her care, including;
• Showering/personal hygiene care
• Dressing/getting up and getting ready for bed
• Monitoring/recording her health
• Administration of medications
• Booking and attending appointments
• Supporting shopping
• Household duties (e.g. laundry, cleaning etc), and
• Support when out/about in the community
Experience is preferred but not essential.
A Diploma in Health and Social Care: Level 2 is also desirable.
