Who we are looking for:

Unistrut is looking for an experienced production welder to support our continued growth.



What you’ll do:

Welding our Unistrut range using Mig welders
Set up welding and supporting equipment
Be able to read 2D drawings
Produce parts at the correct rate and report any issues with achieving that rate
Take responsibility for the quality of the parts produced
Keep production and quality related records up to date
Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area
Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements in all aspects of the role
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed
Performs Other Duties as Assigned


What you bring:

A good knowledge of Production Mig Welding
Able to weld various metals including mild steel and pre-galve
Able to work as part of a team and as an individual
Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards
Ability to comply with and promote Atkore’s ATIRE and SQDC values


What you will strive to accomplish in this role:

S -Zero Harm to yourself or your colleagues
Q – Zero defective raw materials accepted into the premises
D- All offloading of raw materials achieved in a timely manner
C- Zero downtime for machines allocated to material waiting time


Hours of work:

39 hours per week, working a rotating shift pattern:

Week 1: Monday - Thursday 6am - 2pm & Friday 6am - 1pm

Week 2: Monday - Thursday 2pm -10pm & Friday 1pm - 8pm



Salary:

£13.25 per hour plus 22% shift allowance for rotating shifts
