Are you a Science graduate or due to graduate in September 2026 in a related subject?

An outstanding graded secondary school in the Manchester area is offering an exciting opportunity for ambitious graduates who are considering a future career in teaching. This Graduate Teaching Assistant role provides valuable school-based experience alongside a clear pathway into Initial Teacher Training (ITT), with the opportunity to gain a PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your classroom experience, work alongside exceptional educators, and begin a rewarding career within education.

The Role

• Supporting students across KS3 and KS4 Science lessons
• Working closely with teaching staff to raise attainment and engagement
• Providing small group and 1:1 academic support
• Gaining hands-on classroom experience in a high-performing secondary setting
• Opportunity to progress onto salaried teacher training / PGCE pathway

Ideal Candidate

• Science graduate or graduating in 2026 (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related field)
• Passionate about education and supporting young people
• Considering a long-term career in teaching
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous tutoring, mentoring or school experience is desirable but not essential
