Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to join the Revenues and Welfare Services team as a Team Leader.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering vital frontline services to residents, overseeing the administration of council tax, business rates, invoice recovery, and welfare support, while contributing to the continued success of a high-performing service.

The position offers flexible, hybrid working, combining time in the office with remote working to support both effective service delivery and a healthy work-life balance.

As Team Leader, you will be instrumental in leading and developing your team, ensuring high standards of performance, compliance with legislative requirements, and a strong commitment to excellent customer service and financial sustainability.

This role is ideal for candidates who already hold the IRRV Technician (Level 3) qualification in Council Tax and Welfare/Benefits. However, we also welcome applications from individuals who are looking to progress their career, as support and training can be provided to achieve this qualification.

Starting salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible working arrangements, generous annual leave, access to the Local Government Pension Scheme, significantly discounted membership at Gedling’s leisure centres, and an Employee Assistance Programme offering confidential support on financial, legal, and wellbeing matters, along with a range of retail discounts.

Closing date for completed applications is Sunday 7th June 2026 at midnight.

Please note - we reserve the right to close the advertisement before the closing date if we have received sufficient applications for the role.

Interviews will be held 11th – 19th June 2026.
