Summary
Senior Planner
Location: Ellesmere Port
Salary: Up to £40,000
Reports: 2 Direct Reports
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Planner to join a manufacturing business in Ellesmere Port. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing planning activities, managing inventory, purchasing materials, and ensuring effective capacity planning across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the MRP process
- Maintain planning parameters including lead times, ROP, ROQ, and safety stock
- Balance capacity and workload, identifying constraints and solutions
- Oversee purchasing of standard and long lead-time materials
- Optimise inventory levels and stock health
- Maintain ERP/MRP planning data accuracy
- Co-ordinate product and stock change management
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Requirements
- Previous experience in a senior planning or supply chain role
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Manufacturing environment experience essential
- Strong understanding of capacity planning and inventory management
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
