Summary

Housing Services Manager – Operations & Strategy

Bassetlaw District Council is looking for an experienced Housing Services Manager to lead a key portfolio of housing services at a pivotal time. With Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) on the horizon and a focused Housing transformation programme underway, this is a fantastic opportunity to shape how our services evolve for the future.


Reporting to the Head of Housing, you will lead Housing Operations & Strategy, covering tenancy and estate management, housing options, lettings, supported housing, tenant engagement, and customer experience. You will play a key role within the Housing Leadership Team, helping to drive forward the Council’s strategic priorities.


About you
You will be an experienced housing leader with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, compliant, and customer-focused services. You’ll bring:


Strong knowledge of housing legislation and regulation

Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams

A proven ability to drive performance and service improvement

Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills

A balanced strategic and operational approach

What you’ll do


Lead delivery of high-quality, efficient housing services

Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements

Drive continuous improvement and innovation, including digital solutions

Strengthen tenant engagement and resident influence

Work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies

Provide clear, professional advice to Members and senior leaders
