About the Role

The Principal Environmental Health Officer role will lead and oversee a team of officers delivering outcomes for residents within Nottingham's Selective Licensing designation; one of the largest in the country.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Environmental Health degree or equivalent and EHRB or equivalent registration
  • Experience in undertaking private rented sector enforcement and compliance activity, particularly in relation to HHSRS and housing / houses in multiple
    occupation (HMO) licensing schemes.
  • Experience in undertaking housing inspections and providing support and guidance in decision making and line management experience.
  • Knowledge of housing construction and defects. Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and its application within the role.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, to manage and lead a team, ensuring effective service delivery.
