For questions about this job, contact: Name: Hanif Ismail Position: Patient & Public Involvement Lead Email: hanif.ismail@nhs.net Phone number: 0113 206 0469 What you will bring to the role We are seeking to recruit a proactive and self-motivated individual with a keen interest in research and a passion for public involvement to join the NIHR Leeds Clinical Research Facility PPIE team. The post-holder will: work alongside commercial pharmaceutical companies, Clinical Research Organisations, and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H), attending regional and national meetings as required. They will play a lead role in the RIDERS commercial service, coordinating patient and public review panels to evaluate research documents for international sponsors. The role involves managing diverse volunteer Research Champions across cancer, cardiovascular, dental, children's, and multimorbidity specialities, whilst developing community partnerships with grassroots organisations to enhance engagement with underserved populations. The post holder will deliver outreach programmes, and contribute to the NIHR Leeds CRF's annual PPIE objectives. Working collaboratively with NIHR family colleagues, local government public health teams, voluntary sector partners, and community organisations, they will coordinate public engagement activities at local and regional levels. The role requires excellent project management skills to deliver complex, multi-partner initiatives. The post holder will also ensure full compliance with NIHR frameworks and Trust policies.
