We have an exciting opportunity for a Resourcing & Deployment Officer to join our Workforce Surge and Deployment Team (WSDT). During times of increased need to support outbreak and emergencies, you will provide full time support to WSDT, during quieter times you will support the WSD Team 40% and 60% within the Candidate Experience Team (CET).
The WSDT supports all aspects of deploying resource during any emergency response, working closely with multiple cross-government organisations.
The CET role supports the delivery of recruitment processes from job advert creation to making offers, establishing efficient ways of working within APHA in line with Civil Service Commission Recruitment Principles and HR Policies.
Workforce Surge Team
- Provide assistance in supporting the delivery of a full end-to-end onboarding process working closely with operational delivery teams, external stakeholders and recruitment specialists to effectively and efficiently onboard and offboard temporary resources.
- Provide assistance in the creation of a single front door approach to outbreak resourcing, developing and providing an equitable service to all Business Units across the Agency whilst aiming for consistency and streamlining processes to improve efficiency.
- Assist in developing and maintaining working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment with APHA’s priorities.
- Support the deployment of internal resources, working closely with Operational Delivery teams to maximise right skills, right time placements of resources.
- Support the assessment of current workforce gaps, identifying key skills, capabilities, and competencies to forecast future needs and prioritise recruitment.
- Carry out a range of administrative activities, ensuring they are carried out according to agreed team procedures and timelines.
- Support the smooth delivery of processes within your area of responsibility/ remit.
- Provide guidance and support to a range of internal and external stakeholders on operational/service delivery issues, as required.
- Regular attendance/contribution at a variety of Teams meetings and calls.
- Assist in the collation and reporting of outbreak management information, to enable tracking of resources deployed in response to outbreaks and emergencies, working closely with Agency Data & Information Unit and Contingency Planning Division as required.
- Follow processes and standards to enable accurate tracking and analysis of data to enable the production of reports, highlighting to Workforce Surge Advisor associated risks, issues or opportunities.
Candidate Experience Team
In line with the CS Recruitment Principles the successful post holder will:-
- Liaise with Vacancy Holders to create job adverts using Civil Service Jobs vX system.
- Arrange sift documentation for Vacancy Holders and provide support on fair and transparent sifting.
- Arrange interview panels and support Vacancy Holders in preparing assessment criteria.
- Liaise with candidates to resolve queries throughout application and interview.
- Maintaining team processes and working to continually improve processes to ensure the most efficient and effective service.
