PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide efficient, effective, and economic multi-skilled repairs to 8 Leisure properties across the London borough of Southwark To self-manage work within the requirements of the delivery; liaising with General Managers to enable the smooth running and completion of each job, providing diagnoses and making recommendations regarding the remedial work required to defects. This role will involve a variety of tasks including repairs, installations, and maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our service users and sta
Knowledge, including educational qualifications: Essential
1. City And Guilds plumbing NVQ 2 or equivalent, or
City and Guild Carpentry NVQ 3 or equivalent
2. City and Guild Multi-skilled NVQ 3 or equivalent
3. Understanding of relevant legislation and codes of practice including H&S, Building Regulations, Fire
Regulations, etc..
4. 4. Good level of literacy and numeracy
Experience
5. Demonstrable experience of working in the building and trades industry carrying out repairs and maintenance to void and tenanted properties.
6. Experience of working Independently making decisions required for the completion of jobs
7. Demonstrable experience of customer service matters while working with customers in the community
Aptitudes, Skills & Competencies:
8. Strong communication and people skills
9. Ability to provide a high standard of customer care,working flexibly, independently or as part of a team.
10. Ability to use own initiative, organise and prioritise own workload
11. Ability to assess and prepare estimates and communicate clearly verbally and in writing
12. Ability to make well reasoned decisions based on available information, within given timeframes
13. Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload to meet required deadlines
