Summary


The post holder is responsible for the provision of Administrative and Clerical support to all areas of the Women and Children Division and Foetus Medicine Department.

To deliver and coordinate an effective administrative and reception service to Foetus Medicine Department.

The post holder will be expected to rotate between all Women and children divisional Departments to fulfil shift patterns, to cross cover, and to fill in gaps as required.

At reception level, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that patients are appropriately admitted and discharged on CRS, make appropriate appointment, ensuring that patients demographics details are accurate and database are up to date. Responsibility will include ensuring all phone calls are answered and activity are kept up to date

· This job description has been developed to reflect the development of Roles & Responsibilities with the ward clerks and Receptionists within Maternity service.

· The successful candidate must be flexible and able to cross cover in patient area.

· It is expected that all staff are committed to and participate in all training as appropriate to this post. With the full support of their respective line manager. This may lead to further opportunities and development of the post and the post holder.

· All staff will be expected to demonstrate the required skills and abilities in line with this post and to be flexible in their place of work.

· Keep and manage FMU database

· Help with code recoding for FMU
