More detail about the role The post holder will be responsible for providing quality 24/7 administrative support to the Emergency Department. The post holder will be required to prioritise and organise their own workload and be responsible for fulfilling all administrative and clerical tasks associated with the smooth running of the Emergency Department. The role of ED Administrator includes ED Reception and ED Patient Flow Co-ordinator. The above vacancy will have your primary base with the patient flow co-ordinator team who are responsible for the smooth flow of patients through the department, track patients progress, monitor patients length of stay in the department and liaise with the clinical team in accordance with guidelines to avoid any breaches. As an ED administrator you will also be trained on our ED reception in order to be able to arrive people to the department. The post holder will be based in the Emergency Department at the North Devon District Hospital. The post holder is situated in both a patient facing and front-line clinical area.
