Summary

Hazel Tree Education is currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Liverpool on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. The role will be via the agency for 12 weeks and you will then become permanent with the school.

This is an excellent opportunity to work through Hazel Tree Education for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives, particularly those with experience supporting challenging behaviour, as the students you will be supporting have SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students in the classroom and on a 1:1 or small group basis
Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
Promoting a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:

Strong experience working with challenging behaviour is essential
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain a new one
A proactive, patient, and resilient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
