Summary

Desian Education are proud to be supporting a three-form entry primary school in Warrington. Due to additional funding being secured this extremely well-regarded school require an experienced teaching assistant to join their team on a full-time basis for the remainder of the summer term. Subject to funding, this position will be extended into the new academic year.

Your new role:
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining a year 5 class. You support all pupils across the class, tailoring your approach to best suit their needs which will aid in building strong constructive relationships. You will independently plan and deliver interventions in required area’s on a 1:1 and small group basis and report progress, key milestones and further requirements to the class teacher. This is a lively class with a select group of pupils that at times can become disengage and present behavioural challenges. To promote their engagement you will implement an array of positive behaviour strategies and utilise fidget toys.

What you need to succeed:
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Good knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum
- An NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
- A minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years
- An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
