Summary

All of the following tasks are undertaken under the supervision of a Practitioner Psychologist: Clinical and Assessment Support Assist with the administration and scoring of standardised questionnaires, rating scales, and structured observations. Support the collection of background information from records, carers, schools, or other professionals for psychological assessment. Undertake basic clinical tasks within written protocols and supervision (e.g., wellbeing check-ins, structured information gathering). Prepare assessment materials, rooms, and equipment for clinical sessions. Support for Interventions Co-facilitate or support group-based psychoeducation, wellbeing sessions, or skills groups under close supervision. Provide low-intensity, structured support (e.g., guided self-help materials) within defined boundaries of competence. Help develop accessible resources such as visual supports, worksheets, and information packs. Recording, Reporting & Administration Maintain accurate, timely clinical records under supervision and in line with Trust policies. Support the management of referrals, waiting lists, outcome measures, and clinical databases. Prepare written summaries of sessions or assessments for the supervising psychologist to review. Support with day-to-day operational tasks such as booking appointments, organising groups, and preparing documentation. Audit, Research & Service Evaluation Assist with routine audits, including data collection, data entry, and basic analysis. Support the monitoring of service outcomes through standardised tools and service reports. Conduct literature searches or gathering background evidence for service development projects. Multidisciplinary Team Support Attend MDT meetings as an observer or contributor within the limits of the role. Share observations or data gathered to support wider formulation and care planning (under supervision). Liaise with internal and external professionals to share factual information as appropriate. Professional Conduct and Development Attend regular supervision with a Practitoner psychologist. Engage in CPD activities to develop basic psychological knowledge and clinical skills. Follow all Trust policies including safeguarding, confidentiality, information governance, consent, risk management, and infection control. Work in a trauma-informed, neuroaffirmative, and inclusive manner aligned with service values. Service-User Involvement & Experience Support the gathering of service-user feedback and experience measures. Assist with co-production activities, ensuring materials and groups are accessible and inclusive. Help introduce improvements based on feedback and evaluation.
