Do you enjoy working collaboratively with analysts and technical specialists on transport modelling and wider analytical projects?

If so, we’d love to hear from you!
Maritime and Aviation Appraisal and Modelling (MavAM) is made up of economists, operational researchers and transport modellers who work on a variety of aviation and maritime transport models. MAvAM plays a pivotal role in providing robust and influential modelling and appraisal outputs to shape aviation, maritime, and surface access to airports.
AMBA (Aviation, Maritime and Borders Analysis) is a multi-disciplinary analytical division with around 50 members who provide expertise on transport modelling, economic analysis, statistical analysis, operation research, social research and advice on appraisal and evaluation to shape strategic thinking and policy development.
Team members work flexibly across team boundaries, supporting each other to deliver the priorities for the Aviation, Maritime and Security Group. Roles in AMBA provide the opportunity to work closely alongside other analytical colleagues and internal and external industry partners. AMBA is at the heart of some of DfT’s priority policy areas, including decarbonisation and airport expansion.
