The Role This is an opportunity for an experienced Principal Transport Planner to take a leading role in project delivery while supporting the growth of a dynamic and collaborative team.
You’ll be involved in both technical delivery and client-facing work, with real influence over projects and the direction of schemes.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage transport planning projects from inception through to delivery
- Prepare and review key technical documents, including:
- Transport Assessments & Statements
- Travel Plans
- Technical Notes and supporting documents
- Provide strategic transport advice to clients and project teams
- Support and manage junior team members
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and public consultations
- Liaise with local authorities and key stakeholders

- Proven experience in transport planning (consultancy or local authority)
- Strong technical background in development planning
- Experience producing and reviewing Transport Assessments
- Ability to manage projects and client relationships independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Civil Engineering, Geography, Transport Planning)
