Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for Staff Nurses to join us and support the Multi-Disciplinary Team to deliver outstanding person centred care.
One of the Trust's aims is to deliver the best possible care to our patients, and this new inpatient unit will do just that. Water Meadow View will offer clinical excellence, support, and safety, with patient-centred care at its heart.
The post holder will work in collaboration with the clinical leads and the ward manager, and other team members within the multidisciplinary team. The post holder will work a flexible shift pattern including weekend working, providing day to day direct care.
The post holder will ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, compassionate, person-centred care and ensure that care delivered is in a safe and clean environment.
The post holder will contribute to and participate in the on-going support of patients and their carers.

The post holder will deliver on key responsibilities within the inpatient service
To deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients within an agreed framework
To plan and implement a structured approach to nursing care which takes account of service user choice
To accurately observe service users in order to assess needs and evaluate progress
To promote an environment for effective practice, complying with all health and safety requirements
To manage and supervise junior health care staff within the team
To ensure that the needs of people with learning disabilities including their physical and mental health care needs as well as spiritual needs (holistic), are effectively assessed and managed through the care planning process involving other specialists as appropriate
To maintain knowledge and follow all relevant trust policies and procedures
To participate in the appraisal process, identifying personal training needs relevant to the specialist area
To exercise professional accountability and responsibility using skills, knowledge and expertise in changing environments, across clinical boundaries and in unfamiliar situations as outlined within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct
To actively engage and seek clinical and managerial supervision to support your practice
