Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Brinksway School, Stockport, SK4 2HG
Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.30pm
Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time plus 2 Weeks
Start: September 2026

About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils to engage, learn and thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Working closely with teachers and wider professionals, you will help create positive learning experiences that enable young people to reach their full potential.
Support pupils individually and in small groups to develop literacy, numeracy, communication and social skills
Assist with the delivery of engaging lessons, learning activities and structured routines
Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, encouraging and supportive classroom environment
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to prepare resources, track progress, and support school activities and trips
Essential Requirements
TA qualification or experience working with SEN pupils
A calm, consistent and nurturing approach
A strong team player with excellent communication skills
A genuine commitment to helping pupils overcome barriers and succeed

Opened in September 2024, Brinksway School is a purpose-built Primary and Secondary SEN school for 55 pupils aged 4–13 with autism and complex needs. Located in Stockport, Greater Manchester, our refurbished, specialist building supports learning, independence, and wellbeing.
