Are you an experienced Service Advisor seeking a new opportunity within a reputable independent garage?
Our client, based in Basingstoke, is looking to recruit a skilled Service Advisor to join their team. This is an excellent chance for a professional with a solid automotive background, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The Service Advisor role offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and the chance to further develop your expertise within the automotive aftersales sector.
Benefits:
- Up to £35,000 basic salary, rising to £40,000 after successful probation
- OTE bonus of up to £12,000 annually
- Working hours from Tuesday to Saturday, with Sundays and Mondays off
- Four weeks holiday plus bank holidays
- On-site parking

Duties:
- Act as the central point of contact for customers, managing the flow of jobs through the workshop
- Monitor, plan, and progress work for workshop team members to ensure efficiency
- Identify upselling opportunities and collaborate with service advisors to maximise sales
- Prepare vehicles, work orders, and paperwork for customer handover
- Ensure KPIs and monthly targets for productivity and gross profit margins are achieved
- Generate reports and analyse data to improve workshop performance and exceed targets
- Handle customer complaints and queries professionally to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Oversee stock control, purchase of parts, and manage costs effectively
- Order parts accurately, labelled with vehicle registration and received promptly
- Lead and motivate the team to ensure customer satisfaction and business profitability
Requirements:
- Strong automotive technical knowledge and understanding of aftersales processes
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor, with leadership or supervisory responsibilities preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Organisational and prioritisation abilities, with the capacity to multi-task
- Effective team management skills, with the ability to motivate staff to meet KPIs
- Full UK driving licence, ideally clean
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- A professional demeanour with good organisational skills
