A bit about us:

ALABARÉ is a charity that provides accommodation and support for individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges, including armed forces veterans, young people, adults and those with learning disabilities. ALABARÉ aims to break the cycle of homelessness by offering safe housing, mental health support, and pathways to independence. The charity has expanded its services across the South West and Wales, supporting thousands of people every year.

All about the role:

As a Young Person Support Worker you will provide support and advice around accommodation, basic life skills, welfare benefits, health and personal issues: all allowing service users to work towards independent living.

You will provide practical advice and support in order that they might develop their skills and work towards maximising their independence. Experience in working with vulnerable young people is essential and you should be able to work as part of a team or unsupervised and on your own initiative.

This is a very rewarding role: where you encourage independence, form trusted relationships and make a genuine difference in young people’s lives everyday.

Flexibility to move within houses as necessary and to meet the needs of the service.
