Summary
Action Staffing Ltd is exclusively recruiting for a visionary Nursery Manager to take the helm of a vibrant, high-performing early years setting in East London. We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Principal who can maintain "Outstanding" standards while providing stable leadership during this fixed-term maternity cover.
The Opportunity
This is a high-profile leadership role within one of East London’s most respected childcare providers. As the Nursery Manager, you will have full operational oversight of a thriving setting, supported by an experienced Deputy Manager and a dedicated team of Level 3 Practitioners.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of a large-scale nursery, ensuring excellence in EYFS delivery and operational efficiency.
Ofsted Excellence: Drive the setting toward "Outstanding" outcomes, managing all Ofsted inspections, Self-Evaluation Forms (SEF), and quality audits.
Safeguarding Lead: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring the highest standards of child protection, health and safety, and welfare.
Financial Oversight: Manage nursery budgets, occupancy levels, and procurement to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
Team Development: Mentor and coach a large team, fostering a culture of professional growth, staff wellbeing, and recruitment excellence.
Parent Engagement: Build and maintain elite partnerships with parents, local authorities, and community stakeholders across East London.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Childcare (Level 5, Level 6, or EYTS/QTS is highly desirable).
Leadership Experience: Proven track record as a Nursery Manager or Senior Deputy Manager in a setting with 80+ occupancy.
Regulatory Knowledge: Expert understanding of Ofsted inspection frameworks, SEND requirements, and Safer Recruitment practices.
Skills: Exceptional communication, strong business acumen, and proficiency in Nursery Management Systems (e.g., Connect, Famly).
