Summary
Here at innocent, we’re on a mission to make it easier for everyone to get more fruit and veg into their bodies. We started back in 1999 and since then we’ve gone from selling a few smoothies at a music festival to becoming one of Europe’s biggest drinks companies with around 1,000 people (and the B Corp seal of approval).
It’s nice to be able to say things like that but we’re not patting ourselves on the back just yet. We want to show everyone that it’s possible to be a successful business while looking after people and the planet too, so we’re trying to get better in pretty much every way. And that’s where this job comes in.
Innocent has been growing up. What started as a big little company is becoming a little big one, with a new factory, modern enterprise resource planning systems and ever more complexity behind the scenes. Finance systems sit right at the heart of this transformation.
This role exists to make sure our finance platforms keep pace with our ambitions, stay robust as we scale, and help the business make good decisions with confidence. Working at the centre of finance, technology and reporting, you’ll shape how our systems are structured, how data flows, and how compliance is built in rather than bolted on. It’s an important role that helps keep everything running smoothly while unlocking smarter, simpler ways of working.
You’ll be- Owning and maintaining finance system structures, workflows and user access
- Partnering with the technology team on system upgrades, testing and releases
- Acting as the finance superuser for Power BI, owning the finance data model
- Building and shaping reports with finance and technology teams, then handing them into business as usual
- Supporting order to cash processes, including electronic data interchange changes and issues
- Working with tax to set up and maintain value added tax routes and rules
- Ensuring master data controls are clear, compliant and working as intended
- Helping finance planning and analysis during month end with system insight and support
You’ll have
- Strong experience working with finance systems and a clear sense of what good looks like
- A solid understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements
- The confidence to explain technical finance needs in clear, everyday language
- A structured way of working that keeps multiple priorities moving forward
- A hands on approach to systems and tools, with curiosity to dig into detail
- A proactive mindset that spots issues early and enjoys finding solutions
You’ll get
- A central role in shaping how innocent’s finance systems evolve as the business grows
- Close collaboration with finance planning and analysis, tax, compliance, technology and our external IT partner Genpact
- The chance to turn complex processes into simpler, smarter system solutions
- Ownership of reporting models that genuinely influence decision making
- Exposure to large scale system changes, from upgrades to new ways of working
- Space to improve how controls, reporting and compliance all fit together, rather than living separately
We want innocent to be a great place to work, so we do lots of stuff to make people feel at home and try to make sure everyone’s career is shaping up the way they want it to. There are plenty of opportunities to have a go at something new or take things further.
In exchange for helping us do business in the right way, you’ll get a solid rewards package that includes a salary (phew), private healthcare, a target-based bonus, and a bunch of other nice things like a day off on your birthday. And yes, you get free smoothies.
We also know that not all our drinkers come from the same background, or think the same – so why should we? At innocent, we want to be a great place to work where a diverse bunch of people from all backgrounds can turn up and thrive. When we hire, we want all the juice, bits, and pulp that make you who you are.
Even if you don’t think you can tick all the boxes, if the job sounds right for you, come and throw your hat in the ring.
Probably best to get your skates on though, as we might close this early if we get loads of applications.
