We’re recruiting for a Motor Claims Handler to join a growing insurance team in Bolton, handling First Notification of Loss and Accidental Damage claims from initial contact through to resolution.

What you’ll be doing
As a Motor Claims Handler, you’ll manage a varied caseload of FNOL and Accidental Damage claims. You’ll be the person customers rely on at the start of the claims process, so clear communication and a calm, organised approach are key.
Your role will include:
Handling First Notification of Loss motor claims
Gathering accurate claim details and setting clear expectations
Managing Accidental Damage claims from start to finish
Liaising with policyholders, repairers, engineers and third parties
Checking policy cover and progressing claims in line with procedures
Keeping customers updated throughout the claim journey
Using claims systems to record clear and accurate notes
Identifying any fraud indicators or concerns and escalating where needed
Working closely with colleagues to deliver fair and efficient outcomes
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with motor claims experience who is confident managing cases, speaking with customers and working accurately in a busy environment.
You’ll need:
Experience in motor claims, ideally FNOL, Accidental Damage or similar
Good customer service and communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Confidence using computer systems
The ability to manage your own workload
A positive, team-focused approach
GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
It would also be useful if you are working towards a CII qualification, although full support is available.
