Motor Claims Handler – Third Party

If you’ve got motor claims experience and want to develop further into Third Party claims, this could be a strong next move.

We’re recruiting for a Motor Claims Handler to join a growing Third Party claims team in Egerton, Bolton. You’ll be managing Third Party Vehicle Damage and Property Damage claims, keeping cases moving, speaking with all parties involved and helping deliver fair outcomes.

This is a role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, investigating liability and building strong working relationships with customers, insurers, suppliers and accident management companies.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be responsible for managing your own caseload of Third Party claims, with support from an experienced team around you.

Your day-to-day role will include:

Managing Third Party Vehicle Damage and Property Damage claims
Carrying out early-stage liability checks and investigations
Prioritising your own caseload and keeping claims moving
Speaking with insurers, suppliers, customers and accident management companies
Gathering and reviewing information to support claim decisions
Updating all parties clearly and professionally
Identifying potential fraud concerns and escalating where required
Working with colleagues to resolve issues and improve claim outcomes
Delivering a high standard of customer service throughout the process
What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with motor claims experience who is ready to build or develop their Third Party knowledge.

You’ll need:

Previous motor claims experience
Third Party, credit hire or liability experience would be helpful but is not essential
Strong customer service and communication skills
Good IT skills and confidence learning new systems
The ability to multitask and work accurately
Strong attention to detail
Good active listening and relationship-building skills
GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent

A CII qualification, or the desire to work towards one, would be a bonus. Full support is available.
