Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and driven nurse to join us as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in urology.

The ‘non-cancer’ department of Urology is made of several different sub-specialties focused on the diagnosis and treatment of benign urological conditions. This includes surgical andrology, endourology and functional urology. The functional service provides a one stop outpatient clinic for patients referred with Male LUTS. In addition to the diagnostics and treatments listed above, the service offers a number of nurse led clinics like urodynamic and botox injections into the bladder.

You will be expected to demonstrate skills in communication, co-ordination of care and an ability to work flexibly within a multi-disciplinary team. Providing excellent patient experience is critical for all our patients and you will play a key role in ensuring that experience is optimized through accessible and effective communication with compassion and empathy.
• To review patients in clinic post-surgery
• To conduct Trans rectal ultrasonography volume studies as part of Male One stop Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (LUTS) clinic
• To perform Urodynamic/ Videourodynamic studies
• To coordinate and manage effective MDTs
• Support the NPOP clinic (Neurological Pelvic Organ Physiology)
• Support Neuro- urological ward rounds.
• Support the HTLV clinic at SMH once a month.
• Support neuro urology clinic at Chelsea & Westminister Hospital once a month
• To facilitate teaching sessions for nurses within the Division
