Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Renal Pharmacy Assistant to join the highly dynamic renal pharmacy team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

The post holder will support the provision of a high-quality medicines supply and procurement service to renal dialysis satellite units across Northwest London, while also providing key support to the renal homecare service. This role is integral to ensuring dialysis units maintain safe and efficient stock levels of essential medicines and that homecare prescriptions are processed efficiently for renal patients.
• Provide an accurate and timely medicines supply service to renal dialysis satellite units through a structured top-up service.
• Maintain safe and appropriate stock levels, including monitoring expiry dates and returning unused or expired stock.
• Coordinate the ordering of dialysis-related medicines and products, including fluids and ESA therapies.
• Place routine purchasing orders and resolve supply issues and delivery discrepancies.
• Support the coordination of the renal Homecare medicines delivery service.
• Process homecare prescriptions and maintain accurate patient databases.
• Maintain expenditure spreadsheets and support the preparation of drug usage reports.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery.
• Comply with all Trust policies, procedures, and relevant legislation including medicines management, health and safety, and data protection requirements.
