Summary

At Zinc Arts we offer a totally inclusive education package for adults with learning difficulties and other complex needs.

We are looking for a caring individual who can run cross-curricular, art and performing arts-based projects. Teaching core subjects through creativity and working to inspire those around them to think beyond their perceived limitations.
We are looking for a minimum of a grade C / level 5 at GCSE in Maths and English. However, personality, outlook and life skills are just as important as higher qualifications. Some kind of experience in creative art and/or performing arts is essential. We are particularly interested in those with experience of theatre work or with musical skills.

The right candidate will also be computer literate and be able to participate in using technology for both administration purposes and for creative displays or digital art.

Full training will be given.

This is a full-time contract Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.
Some evening and weekend work may be occasionally required.
Position will be dependent on a clear enhanced DBS check.

The ideal candidate will:
Have a great sense of humour
Have a caring and supportive disposition
Have English and Maths qualifications to at least a GCSE grade C/ level 5 or equivalent.
Have some experience or knowledge of working with individuals with profound and multiple learning difficulties
Have experience and/or skills in art or performing arts
Fulfil student facing and administration duties with equal dedication
Be able to think creatively and outside the box
Be able to multi-task and improvise
Seek out opportunities for fun and new adventures
Be able to complete tasks set in a timely manner
Work with some initiative
Be a team player
