The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to work within a high-end corporate catering environment in Canary Wharf.
This is a hands-on role supporting the Head Chef in delivering high-quality food within a structured, professional kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
Preparing and delivering high-quality food across service
Supervising and supporting kitchen staff
Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards
Managing stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
Ensuring allergen and dietary requirements are strictly followed
Requirements
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie
Experience within contract catering or high-volume environments preferred
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment
Compliance Requirements (Banking Environment)
Right to Work in the UK
Basic DBS check required
Adverse financial (credit) check required
Proof of employment history via GOV.UK service
References covering recent employment
