Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Flintshire to assist with the appointment of a Resettlement Caseworker, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.85 - £16.61 per hour

Hours per Week: 20

Summary:

The Resettlement Caseworker will provide intensive, person-centred support to refugee families resettling in the community. This role focuses on delivering holistic support covering housing, financial wellbeing, health, and social integration, while working closely with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes in line with UK Government and Welsh Government resettlement programmes.

Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of families, providing tailored, intensive, and holistic support.
Prepare for new arrivals, ensuring accommodation and practical arrangements are in place.
Support clients in accessing services, including housing, benefits, healthcare, and education.
Assist with completing applications, paperwork, and claims.
Liaise with partner agencies and refer clients to appropriate services.
Arrange and coordinate translation/interpreter services where required.
Qualification:

GCSEs (Grade A–C) or equivalent.
HND qualification (or equivalent) or significant experience in person-centred support.
Relevant qualification or experience within the refugee/third sector.
Essentials:

Experience supporting vulnerable individuals (e.g., housing, benefits, or debt advice).
Experience managing a caseload independently and prioritising workload.
Strong knowledge of UK benefits system, housing regulations, and support services.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and partner agencies.
