Summary


We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse to join Shakespeare Ward, an 18 bedded female acute mental health inpatient ward based at The Harbour.

Shakespeare Ward supports women experiencing acute mental health crises and provides short term, therapeutic inpatient care. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, delivering safe, compassionate, and recovery focused care in a busy acute setting

As a Band 5 Nurse on Shakespeare Ward, you will work as part of the nursing team to deliver safe and effective care in line with Trust policies and professional standards. The role involves caring for patients who may present with high levels of distress and risk, requiring sound clinical judgement, good communication skills, and a compassionate approach.

You will be supported through induction, supervision, appraisal, and ongoing development and will be encouraged to build your skills and confidence within acute inpatient mental health nursing.

Shakespeare Ward is based at The Harbour in Blackpool, a modern inpatient mental health facility. The ward has a strong focus on recovery focused care, safety, dignity, and therapeutic engagement, working closely with the wider MDT to support patients during periods of acute mental distress.
