(secondment will be considered if requested)The Welsh Advisory Service within the Education & Youth Portfolio, is seeking to recruit an experienced and resilient practitioner to work as part of the School Improvement team from 1st September, 2026. This is a fulltime, permanent post or a two year fixed term secondment would be considered. This is a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding, inspirational primary school teacher who has a track record of raising standards and improving the achievement of learners, to join the successful Local Authority team and use their expertise to support schools right across the county.The post is also to lead on the authority's provision for newcomers to the language in the mainly Welsh primary schools and support language immersion in Flintshire’s mainly Welsh secondary school. The successful candidate is expected to ensure high quality immersion education for all children and young people who are newcomers to Welsh language education across the authority.We are seeking an excellent and progressive practitioner. Applicants should demonstrate solid knowledge and experience of language pedagogy. They will have excellent organisational and leadership skills and solid interpersonal skills. They will be highly motivated candidates who prepare work of high quality and can meet deadlines efficiently and promptly.F u r t h e r I n f o r m a t i o n
It is essential that applicants for this position are fluent in Welsh.
