Working in close partnership with our Care Groups, we support workforce development by promoting inclusive opportunities that enable people from across our communities to join the Trust, helping to build a workforce that reflects the people we care for.
We are passionate about widening access to NHS careers and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including local NHS organisations, Job Centres, schools and colleges, to create clear and accessible pathways into employment.
Our work is shaped by Trust PRIDE values. We aim to inspire, develop and empower individuals to build meaningful careers within the NHS. If you are motivated to make a difference, support others and be part of a team that values growth and opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
If you are considering applying for this post on a secondment basis, please discuss with your Line Manager prior to applying to ascertain whether this could be supported.
You will play a key role in supporting the recruitment, mentoring and development of apprentices across the Trust, helping individuals to thrive within their chosen career pathways. You will also coordinate and support work experience and placement programmes, working with schools, colleges, universities and external partners to widen access to NHS careers.
A large part of your role will involve building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to create meaningful and well-structured placement and work experience opportunities. You will support managers and education providers to ensure placements are safe, well prepared and deliver positive outcomes for participants.
You will act as a point of guidance for apprentices, providing mentoring and pastoral support, and helping them to succeed within the Trust. You will also organise and attend careers events, recruitment activities and engagement sessions that promote the NHS as a place to learn, develop and build a career.
You will advise managers on appropriate placement structures, matching applicants to suitable placements and prioritising engagement activities and events to maximise impact and reach.
We are looking for:
• An enthusiastic individual who is a team player who is at ease in building relationships with all stakeholders
• An individual that enjoys working with students and apprentices on a 1:1 basis or as part of larger cohorts
