Summary


ABand 2 Ward Clerkprovides essential administrative support to ensure the safe and efficient running of a hospital ward. The role includes managing patient records, supporting admissions and discharges, answering queries, coordinating communication between clinical teams, and ensuring documentation meets statutory and regulatory requirements, allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care.

Provide effective administrative and reception support, communicating professionally with patients, visitors, staff, and external agencies.

Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, discharges, follow-ups, and maintain accurate, timely records on OASIS in line with KPIs.

Manage patient notes, documentation, property, and confidentiality throughout the patient journey.

Support the multidisciplinary team, report incidents, maintain work areas/resources, assist induction, and comply with Trust policies, health & safety, and training requirements.
