Early Years Teaching Assistant
Start Date: September 2026

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Harrow is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

The Role:
Provide general classroom support within an Early Years setting
Work closely with the class teacher to support teaching and learning activities
Deliver targeted support to one or two pupils requiring additional assistance
Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and daily routines
Requirements:
Previous experience working within an Early Years setting
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Strong understanding of child development and early learning frameworks
Experience supporting children with additional needs is highly desirable
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A patient, proactive, and nurturing approach
Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of the Early Years curriculum
Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who require additional support
Monitor and report on pupil progress to the class teacher
Assist with behaviour management in line with school policies
Support personal care needs where required
Maintain a positive and professional relationship with staff, pupils, and parents
