Summary

About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join a friendly and supportive GP practice based in South Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established primary care team delivering high-quality patient-centred services to a diverse local population.

You will be working alongside GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, HCAs, and administrative staff in a modern, forward-thinking practice environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver chronic disease management (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension)
  • Carry out smears (cytology), immunisations, and vaccinations
  • Support travel health clinics and wound care services
  • Assist with infection prevention and control procedures
  • Undertake health promotion and patient education
  • Participate in long-term condition reviews and QOF targets
  • Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS/SystmOne (depending on practice)
    About You

    We are looking for a confident and compassionate Practice Nurse who can work independently while being part of a team.

    Essential:

    • Registered Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC pin
    • Experience in primary care or community nursing
    • Competence in chronic disease management and vaccinations
    • Strong communication and organisational skills

      Desirable:

      • Cytology (smear taker qualification)
      • Diabetes or respiratory qualification
      • Experience with EMIS Web or SystmOne
