- Teaching English Language and English Literature across KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging, well‑structured lessons
- Marking, assessment, and tracking pupil progress
- Supporting pupils of mixed abilities to achieve strong outcomes
- Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and engagement
- Contributing positively to the English department and wider school community
- Qualified English Teachers with QTS/QTLS (essential)
- ECTs looking for the right school to start or continue their career
- Experienced teachers seeking stability, progression, or a fresh environment
- Teachers relocating to or within the Portsmouth area
- English specialists confident delivering GCSE (any exam board)

- Salary: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3, paid to scale)
- QTS/QTLS required
- Secondary English teaching experience preferred
- Safeguarding training required (can be provided)
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Two recent teaching references
- Honest and confidential conversations before you commit
