Summary
Key Responsibilities: Conduct gastroenterology outpatient clinics Review and manage gastroenterology inpatient referrals on the wards. Oversee the day-to-day running of the gastroenterology ward. Commit to attending endoscopy training lists as available Exercise independent clinical decision-making in the management of general medical conditions. Liaise effectively with the ward consultant and other specialties as required. Arrange and undertake follow-up of discharged patients where appropriate. Supervise and teach practical procedures, including ascitic taps/drains and lumbar punctures. Actively participate in the teaching and training of junior doctors, medical students, and clinical observers. Review and act on investigation results in a timely manner. Conduct virtual patient follow-up clinics.
